HOW EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY CAN HELP?
Exercise Physiologists have expert knowledge on the human body and the role of exercise in health,
fitness and reducing the onset or symptoms of chronic conditions and disabilities. Exercise
Physiologists develop rehabilitation programs for people with both acute and chronic medical
conditions. Their knowledge and extensive training also allows them to provide safe and effective,
tailored exercise programs to any person that steps through their doors.
NDIS PHYSICAL THERAPY
Exercise Physiologists have expert knowledge on the human body and the role of exercise in health, fitness and reducing the onset or symptoms of chronic conditions. Exercise Physiologists develop rehabilitation programs for people with both acute and chronic medical conditions. Their knowledge and extensive training also allows them to provide tailored exercise programs to prevent injury and improve performance in the general population and athletes of all levels.
To achieve the best possible outcomes we utilise the best available equipment in state of the art fitness facilities. All of these facilities include:
The combination of the knowledge of a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with machines and equipment that enable targeted exercise prescription and easily measured progression, allows us to achieve great health outcomes and achieve your goals effectively.
In addition to gym based Physical Therapy sessions we are also able to bring our services to the participant where it may not be possible to access our state of the art facilities. To ensure the best possible treatment we carry a comprehensive kit of home exercise equipment to all our sessions including:
Another tool in our tool kit is Aquatic or Hydrotherapy. This form of exercise is conducted in a heated pool which can be beneficial for certain conditions if deemed clinically necessary by the treating Exercise Physiologist. The hydrotherapy facilities all include:
Finally, for those applicable we provide group based physical therapy for groups of two or three. The groups are kept to small numbers due to the complexity of the cases and ensuring each participant has the best possible treatment, to ensure the best possible outcomes. This form of therapy can be delivered in all of the above settings if deemed clinically necessary by the treating Exercise Physiologist.
In addition to the face to face Exercise Therapy we provide technology to participants and their carers. This allows them to continue physical therapy in some capacity on the days they are not being seen by an Exercise Physiologist. To do so we utilise Physitrack software:
WHAT IS PHYSITRACK?
Physitrack is an online platform you can remotely
access from your phone, tablet or computer. After your initial consultation your Exercise Physiologist will
prescribe you a series of exercises tailored to the
information collected in the assessment. These exercises will be delivered to you as individual videos with auditory and written instructions on how to complete each exercise as it is intended. The application will also show you the intensity (how heavy) and volume (how much or how long) for each of these exercises. In addition to this, you will be able to send messages directly to your Exercise Physiologist about any questions or concerns you may have. This application enables us to continue providing the best possible care to all of our clients without face to face contact.
